At the 71st World Ploughing Championship, the world’s finest ploughmen and ploughwomen will compete for more than one of the most prestigious titles in international agriculture. The winners of the two competition classes will also receive prizes worthy of their achievement: two modern ploughs manufactured by Tekoma Marguč.
The Championship will take place on 4 and 5 September 2026 at Mitrovac Farm near Grabovac, in Croatia’s Osijek-Baranja County. The winner of the Conventional class and the winner of the Reversible class will each take home a new plough from the Slovenian manufacturer’s professional range.
The main prizes are being provided jointly by Poljoopskrba-Tehno and Tekoma Marguč, bringing together Croatian experience in agricultural machinery and Slovenian manufacturing expertise.
A prize made for world champions
Few prizes could be more closely connected to the skill being celebrated.
Competitive ploughing demands precision, consistency and a deep understanding of soil, machinery and field conditions. By presenting the two champions with professional ploughs, the award recognises not only their success at WPC 2026, but also the knowledge and dedication required to reach the highest level of the sport.
The winners will therefore leave Croatia with more than a championship title. They will take home machines designed for the very work through which they earned it.
Tradition meets modern agricultural technology
For Poljoopskrba-Tehno, supporting the Championship continues a tradition that reaches back to the development of Poljoopskrba after the Second World War and its formal establishment in 1948.
For decades, the Poljoopskrba name has been associated with the supply of agricultural machinery, equipment, spare parts and technical support to Croatian farmers. Today, Poljoopskrba-Tehno continues that role by connecting agricultural professionals with modern machinery and international manufacturers.
Tekoma Marguč brings its own long-standing manufacturing experience to the partnership. The Slovenian company traces its origins to 1968 and has been developing agricultural machinery since 1990, beginning with ploughs and harrows.
