Kopački Rit Nature Park
Tour d1 kopacki rit

Kopački Rit is a nature park placed in the corner formed by the river Danube and its tributary Drava. Depending on the water level, the water of these two rivers constantly shapes and changes the look of Kopački Rit, creating a beautiful mosaic of lakes, canals, ponds, floodplain forests, reed beds and wet meadows.

It is one of the best preserved floodplains in Europe, including the Special Zoological Reserve as the most valuable part of the Park. Kopački Rit is characterised by exceptional landscape beauty and great biodiversity.

The whole area is widely known as a habitat for numerous waterfowl birds, population of common deer, and the most significant inhabitant – the white-tailed eagle, which is also a symbol of the Park.

Belje Winery & Wine Road
Tour d1 belje winery

Belje, one of the most state-of-the-art wineries in the region, is situated in the centre of the vineyard, enabling fast transport of grapes from all vineyards during the harvest. With a total capacity of 8 million litres of wine kept in almost 250 stainless steel containers, the winery is a truly special tourist attraction.

The tour starts with the presentation in the wine boutique, which is followed by a walk to the winery, the place where harvest by hand and state-of-the-art technology meet and where Belje wines are produced.

The 8-km Wine Road meanders through the loveliest landscapes one can imagine, with a lookout situated on a special wine-growing position surrounded by millions of vine stocks.

Zmajevac Wine Heritage
Tour d1 zmajevac

Zmajevac is one of the most recognisable wine destinations in Baranja, a place where a rich wine heritage has been shaped over centuries in cellars (gatori) carved into the Baranja hillsides and lined along the famous streets known as surduk.

Here, wine is more than a product – it is an integral part of local identity, everyday life, and a deeply rooted culture of hospitality, shaped by the Danube, fertile land, and generations of winemakers.

A walk through Zmajevac reveals an authentic setting of traditional gatori, where old grape varieties, local customs, and a slower pace of life are still carefully preserved.
