About HUONO
HUONO (Hrvatska udruga za organizaciju natjecanja orača) is the Croatian Association for Ploughing Competition Organisation. As Croatia’s representative body within the World Ploughing Organisation, HUONO is dedicated to promoting the art and tradition of competitive ploughing, supporting Croatian ploughmen on the international stage, and organising national and regional ploughing competitions.
HUONO brings together farmers, agricultural professionals, and enthusiasts who share a passion for preserving and advancing the craft of ploughing. The association coordinates training, selects national representatives for international championships, and works closely with agricultural institutions and government bodies to support the farming community.
In 2026, HUONO takes on its greatest challenge yet: organising the 71st World Ploughing Championship in Osijek-Baranja County. HUONO is committed to delivering a world-class championship that showcases Croatia’s agricultural heritage, hospitality, and organisational excellence.

From site preparation to visitor programmes — HUONO manages every aspect of WPC 2026
Competition
Managing the competition site, field preparation, practice scheduling, marshalling yard, and all technical aspects of the ploughing contest.
Accommodation
Arranging campus accommodation, dining, registration, and coordinating external lodging for all participants, officials, and visitors.
Tours & Logistics
Organising five days of excursions, airport shuttles, transport between venues, equipment logistics, and container unloading coordination.
Ceremonies
Planning the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the Cairn of Peace unveiling, Ecumenical Church Service, and the Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony.
